Several months ago I was getting ready to set up engine conversion business in Paso Robles, CA at the airport there. Just about the time I had loaded most of my tools and inventory and friend and fellow racer who owns Lancair International in Bend Oregon asked me to come up and see if I might be able to help the management team.
Well, after a few days in Bend we all agreed that I might be able to help with some projects they had and since the engine business was ready to move anyway I just added a few more boxes along with my partner for 30 years and here we are.
I am now setting up my shop to build engines while I am consulting for Lancair. I now believe this was a good decision as several new opportunities for our engines are popping up here that may not have in California.
Andrew is getting very close to completing our first heavy fuel engine and once that is available I believe Lancair might be just the place to show off its potential.
